While there are several classes in World of Warcraft MMORPG, there's one class that excels in neutralizing and destroying enemies-The Mage. With its deadly elements of arcane, mages can inflict massive damage from a distance. They can cast elemental bolts or rain down bolts in a wide AoE (area of effect). Those who undermine their spell-casting prowess suffer penultimate defeat, if confronted unarmed. Their arcane and elemental attacks inflict greater damage to a group of characters. The extremely potent crowd control spells can be very useful to eliminate huge crowd of dangerous mobs within minutes. Mages are also very useful in gold farming in the World of WarCraft (WoW). One of the goals of a World of Warcraft player is to earn money. This helps him buy different mats, equipment and weapons. On a beginner level, a gamer has to concentrate on utilizing the powers of his class to get more currency. A technique known as Area of Effect (AoE) grinding is generally used by pros to farm WoW gold. The players use the mage's crowd controlling power to lure mobs and kill them with quick spells. Eliminating mobs in group helps players gather loot and dropped items quickly. These are later sold at the Auction House to earn yellow metal.

While there are various places to use the AoE grinding technique, the Silithus is the best place to grind gold. This area boasts of numerous humanoid mobs, which are known to drop better loot than any other mob in Azeroth. Using the crowd controlling powers and taking down large mobs in a short span of time is definitely a clever strategy to gather WoW gold. The humanoid mobs in the Silithus area always drop large quantities of runecloth, which can be sold at a very decent price at the AH (Auction House).
