If the Internet Explorer is not there then you can go to the website of the Microsoft and there locate the latest available version of the internet explorer. After downloading that file when you will install the internet explorer then the ActiveX will also be installed by default. In today’s time these components are bundled in advance with the installer of the Internet Explorer by default. Otherwise, you can download the installer of the ActiveX and then upon clicking the installer file just follow the directions.
Then after installation check for the files with the extension .ocx. This can be done by searching for *.ocx in the search option of the start menu. Files will show confirming the installation of the ActiveX. For Netscape before installing ActiveX install the required plugins. Rest of the procedure is same for Netscape, Safari as well as Mozilla.
While downloading the ActiveX installer make sure that you have downloaded the file from the reliable source as sometimes some of the websites might just bundle in the malicious software with the installer file. Remove the controls that you do not need. Remove them by going to the add/remove feature of the windows. Always keep updating the browser so that you are in touch with the latest controls.
