How to Get More Phone Sales

As a business owner you may wonder if the Internet will ever have a place for your offline business or you may have began planning on developing a website to increase your exposure of your local business to the Internet masses.
More and more people everyday search the Internet for local businesses that are offering products/services they may need or want. With the growing need, the development of information portals for the sole purpose of providing region specific data to online users has exploded.
There is a type of advertising out there that is still in it's infancy but growing quickly in the electronic information era, that advertising service is PPC (pay per call advertising). PPC advertising online allows you to advertise your business but only pay when a customer calls your business.
Many information search PPC companies are using an ad format that looks much like a content based Google search ad. Instead of clicking an ad however, they are asked to call a phone number instead. This number will be a number different from your business phone number but will be forwarded to your business phone line when called. This allows the online ad agency to track your calls and bill you accordingly.
This type of advertising is perfect because you only are paying for results but are being exposed and branded to your local market. The costs of the phone calls will be variable by industry and the pay per call agency, but can be well worth the expense if you have a sales team ready to take in orders or additional foot traffic. Marketing Research has shown that those that call a phone number are far more likely to end their conversation with a buy compared to clicking on a website through a paid promotion.
