Basic ingredients to make a French toast
For a basic French toast fried, for two or three people you will need:
• Two to three eggs
• Half a cup of fresh milk, half cream, half soy milk or milk will also do
• One teaspoon of vanilla powder.
• Two teaspoons of cinnamon to taste
• Nutmegs will be great
• Four slices thick egg bread which can be one day old, challah or brioche will do well.
• A tablespoon of butter, or cooking spray.
• Fork
• Whisk
• A Shallow bowl
• Spoon
• A proper sized frying pan (Nonstick is easy for cleaning.
How to prepare:
1. Break the eggs, put it in a shallow bowl, should be wide enough to put the bread. Lightly beat the mix with a fork or the whisk.
2. Add milk and other ingredients mentioned as required. Beat again until all is combined.
3. Now add tablespoon butter to frying pan, touch the bottom with it, and make it warm over a medium heat.
4. Now set the pieces of bread each one at a time in the batter .Now turn over and repeat so the batter now covers the surface and now it has a chance to be absorbed in the bread.
Frying French toast:
1. Heat the pan until it is hot; now carefully place the bread which is soaked in the pan with a separation between each slice.
2. Fry the bread pieces for at least a minute on each of the sides. When they start getting golden brown stop the frying.
3. You can add more butter to your pan.
