There is a need to understand how fiber works inside the body before you get encouraged to igest as much fiber as you can in your diet detox schemes. People who intend to lose weight should be more inclined to eating fiber-rich foods because the carcinogens in the intestines usually cling onto them and get out of the colon more quickly thus reducing the risks for colon cancer. Moreover, lean meat from animals contains no fiber. If you really want to trim down that body fat you have, you should eat less of these substances including dairy products and other refined grains. Opt for lentils and other legumes, vegetables, brown rice, fruits and whole grains instead.
The benefits of fiber in the body are immeasurable. There are more reasons to eating natural other than their ability to become colon cleanse agents that washes off possibilities of serious diseases. There is no substitute for fruits and vegetables that are fiber-rich. Spending too much on process foods which contain preservatives and whose nutrients have been stripped off during their processing is unwise compared to splurging your money on fiber and natural diet. The best way to achieving fitness is nothing but the natural way.
