These credit cards offer great rebates for gas purchases and can be as high as 10% rebate for each gallon of gas. If you always fill up at the
same gas station it makes sense to get a credit card for a specific gas station as they usually offer better rebates than a gas credit card valid everywhere, however if you have to drive out of your way to find a gas station where you can earn rewards, you are better of with a credit card that can be used at any gas station, which also enables you to shop for the best price in your neighborhood.
Using gas credit cards combined with a few good gas saving tips can get you a lot further down the road. Eliminating aggressive driving that can reduce gas mileage by up to 33% and observing the speed limit on the Interstate rather than speeding can cause a 10% loss in gas mileage.
