The Sony Ericsson W980i is the perfect mobile phone for someone who loves their music. With a built in transmitter to listen to FM stations. Plus the ability of storing up to 8000 songs, that's a huge amount of songs to put onto your mobile phone. There is even an equalizer built into the phone for better quality sound. The storage on the W980i is 8 GB.

If you look at the W910i as a comparison mobile phone you will find that it's an awesome choice but not quite up to par as the W980i is. This phone only has 40 MB of storage, and doesn't really state how many songs can be held on the phone. Its does have the built in FM transmitter though to.

Weight of the W980i is 100 grams, while the W910i wins this battle weighing in at 86 grams. While both phones come in with an amazing 9 hours of talk time, however the W910i has 400 minutes of standby time while the W980i only has 300 minutes. Resolution of both mobile phones is 240 X 320 pixels.

However the camera on the W910i has a 2.0 megapixels while the W980i has a 3.2 megapixels so that means you should get a better and sharper picture off the W980i. Overall both mobile phones are excellent. Ask yourself the main question, "What do I need?"

So if you are trying to decide between the two in a purchase the last thing to really consider would be the prices of each. So really what you need to decide is how many songs you want to have on your phone, if you don't care for it to be able to hold up to 8000 you can save a lot of money with going to the W910i. But if you're a music lover and you feel that to live without 8000 songs on your phone you just won't be able to make it go larger spend the extra money and get the W980i.

Both phones are great choices though and anyone would be happy with either of these two choices of phones, plus if your signing up for new service maybe one of these will be offered at a smaller price to entice you into the mobile phone company and their deals. Try going for the best mobile phone deal you can get.

If you feel you can't live with the camera not being above 3 megapixels you will only have one phone to choose from. But really if you look at them side by side you really are getting pretty close to the same mobile phone and you shouldn't really base it on anything but what price you are willing to pay, or even what mobile phone deals you are getting from the phone company you are purchasing the item from. So get the best one that you feel is best for you now, and you won't be sorry in the long run!
