People by nature, would want to experience value for money in all product purchase. Thus, sellers and marketers are driven to improve on product delivery, content, service, and quality. The purchase of website address or domain name for example, is also driven by this concept. The addresses are hosted by different website registrars and the availability of multiple registry operator grants freedom to consumer in choosing the best address host.

In general, website addresses are hosted by accredited registry operators. These operators are regulated and approved by an international corporation, and the procedures for address application, name transfer, and termination is standardized by the corporation. A suitable policy was also formed to allow website address owners to transfer their address from one host to another with ease. In short, it’s best to host your website from one operator. A complete domain name transfer helps you to avoid the hassle of having to deal with two separate hosts.

The transfer is relatively simple and usually will not affect your website or email. Most operators will request you to either fill up a form or select a suitable link. Doing so enables the future operator to contact the administrator of your current website operator. Bear in mind that you’ll need to provide the contact details of your current operator to the future host in order for them to convey the migration request. Once the current administrator accepts the request, the migration is in progress. This process may take up to two weeks.

It is best to conduct name transfer much earlier before it expires because processing takes time. Once an account expires, it may be difficult to obtain the address again due to management procedures. Therefore, attempt a domain name transfer carefully and at an appropriate time. After migration, the address has to remain in the new registrar for at least sixty days, after which you are free to relocate your account again.
